Samsung's Curve on Life

9.30.13

http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/25/tech/mobile/samsung-curved-smartphone/index.html

Although only said to be released in south korea, Samsung has revolutionized smartphones once again with the great idea of having a curved screens. Said to be released in Oct. Samsung plans on releasing a smartphone with a curved display screen. These screens will be made out of plastic so now say good-bye to crack phones and tablets. There is not much to be said by the executive about the release but there is a commercial online that speaks for itself...

Most modern day smartphones to one extent all look the same, they have a rectangular glass screen. However these smartphones that are being made by samsung are totally out there but its innovative and smart. In the demo they showed how with a curved screen you can now extend the range of the screen. For example your phone can be lying there flat on the table case on and everything but still see your notification on the side curve of your phone.

Another amazing possibility of a curved screen is "one uping" the definition of a phablet. Instead of just having one mega giant screen, there is the possibility of having an average size screen and another screen 5x as big rolled up inside as use of a tablet. "I will call it a 'Tabone'! ".

As exciting as this futuristic equipment sounds, its really not. This is real and happening.... Except only in South Korea right now but, I'm sure that a US release date for something of this sort is already in discussion.

HTC One Max

9.23.2013

HTC One has been a very huge hit for android smartphone users. having already released a smaller "little brother" phone called the HTC Mini, HTC plans on unveiling a new phone yet again, the HTC One Max. The HTC One Max will include a bigger display (5.9 in 1920 x 1080), rumored fingerprint scanner similar to what the iphone 5s has at the moment. and latest version of android 4.4 kitkat. The htc one has said to be released in 2013 but still no actual release date has been confirmed.

The HTC One Max will be big (no pun intened) especially in the latter part of 2013. Will the Apple be able to keep its iPhone sales between now and the launch of the next iPhone? I honestly dont think so because even though these things are simply "gimmicks" to get people to buy... ITS WORKING.
APPLE TAKE A HINT... R.I.P Steve Jobs the man with the Apple. Also interested to see how the HTC pairs against the Nokia Lumia 1020(huge camera), the moto x, and the Galaxy S 4. g

I really dont have anything else to say so i guess here is a picture* of the HTC One Max sitting besides the regular HTC One:

Finally! Google has released some more competition for Apple; this time in the line of TV. Google's new "Chromecast" allows users to stream online media such as YouTube, Google Play Music, Google Play Movies & TV, and of course the ever so popular Netflix. Although these are the only services available, Chromecast looks for future support in third-party applications such as Hulu plus, Pandora Internet Radio, and HBO Go. Chromecast also streams your Chrome internet browser on your laptop, iOS and, Android smartphone/tablet similar as Apple TV has Airplay for iPad and iPhones but the difference is support and price. Chromecast as of now goes for one payment of 35 dollars and you receive a small HDMI input device that you plug in the back of your LED LCD HD TV. It has a similar look of a bulky USB flash drive but still barley noticeable in the back of a TV. Apple TV's go for 99.99 dollars before tax and warranty services and does the same things mentioned above with the addition of plenty more services like ESPN, NBA TV and, Vimeo and much more. Chromecast is still a work in progress and is actually Google's 3rd attempt at dominating your living room TV but, its nice if you just hate apple's guts and its totally disregard for consumer opinions... $200 on contract my butt.

Although Apple's Iphone was revolutionary device that change the way we communicate, play, and entertained ourselves, the mass market company has some catching up to do. Its high strung competitors, Google Android, have caught up and blew the Iphone into oblivion (as far as features are concerned). Google's android phones now have the capability to unlock their phone with simply their face, control their phone by using only their voice (moto x), and so water resistant they can take underwater photos. Apple plans on introducing the new Iphones on tuesday and to stay in the game they need to come up wit some really "wow amazing stuff".
