When Apple announced that it was getting into the auto business with CarPlay, it cemented what many already knew: the car is the next big stomping ground when it comes to technology. A number of car companies have been utilising its graphical prowess for some time now and, as TechRadar found out, in-car entertainment is only a tiny part of what is achievable.
Using Nvidia's Quadro processor, companies such as Mercedes are taking this CG world of car ads and going a step further – using more precise modelling to help with the pre-production process of its car manufacturing. But this does mean that significant changes have to be made. replacing a few of the steps in the physical pre-production process with digital variants will not only save a company money it will get a car to market a lot faster.
At GDC this year, Honda will be showing some of the work it is doing with Nvidia's Iray technology and Estes explained that a lot more is being done with Nvidia's Quadro and Tesla technologies.Using these technologies it is hoped that a point can be reached where computer car creation simulates what happens when you make the tiniest of changed to a car's design in real time.

Watch yo kids
3.7.14
http://www.engadget.com/2014/03/06/hereo-gps-watch-for-kids/
Gps tracking devices to keep track of your kids arent anew invention. There are several of them for several hundred dollar. However the new ones by HereO's is cute kid friendly and adult priced cheap...er.
Like other trackers of this sort, the HereO watch allows parents to create so-called safe zones around schools, etc, and then receive alerts should the child leave or enter the area. Additionally, parents can broadcast messages using an app, or send kids directions to help them reunite with a family member. This sells for 100 dollars in retail stores.
The catch? Because this won't be sold through a carrier, like AT&T, you'll instead need to pay a monthly fee for the GPS service. Specifically, if you buy on Indiegogo you'll at least get the first six months free, but it's still $5 a month thereafter. Should you buy in, the watch will work with a free app for either iOS or Android. Windows Phone and BlackBerry are coming soon, says the company.
This is a good idea. cheap simple and safe is a good motto to live by and this device is exactly that. plus it is really cute.

400 million for 400 words
1.27.14
Google has recently bought another company, Deepmind, "a cutting edge artificial intelligence company". According to Recode, Google has given them 400 million dollars for the little to nothing AI firm, apparently to acquire the workers as well. If you visit Deepmind's website it tells you how they use "The best techniques from machine learning and systems neuroscience to build powerful general-purpose learning algorithms." Noboddy really knows wat google plans to do with a firm that has spent the last three years in "simulations, applications, and e-commerce."
Dennis Hassabis is the co-founder of Deepmind, A gaming prodigy and neuroscientist. It also apparently has been backed by some of the most notable tech entrepreneurs of the last decade. Recode's report, which claimed the company has around 50 employees, said the deal was spearheaded by Google CEO Larry Page. The acquisition comes at a time Google, under the stewardship of Android co-founder Andy Rubin is investing heavily in robotics companies. The reasons for which are yet to be disclosed.

This is Honestly really spooky/shady deal. The fact that nobody knows why google bought this company and why they spent 400 million for it is enough for someone (me) to start looking more closely at what google is asking from me in apps and such. I might soon have to start readong the terms and conditions.

Last Christmas I gave you a ....
1.6.14
http://www.squidoo.com/top-10-selling-christmas-gifts
Its 2014 and Christmas is over but many people are still glued to their amazing new technology they just received. According to squidoo the top sold holiday items were basically the same thing you might see a trendy teenager on the have, Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, an iPhone, etc. The one that stood out from all the rest was the Kindle Fire HDX.
The Kindle Fire, for a nice few years now, has been among the top sellers for Christmas. This year with the new features and installments it was a hit. Now the introduction of the mayday button seemed a little off. I mean are they saying when i use there product I'm going to be so confused on how to navigate and not only do i need pictures but a whole video... just saying. But Amazon must have really done something right if they sold as many units as they did this holiday season. Although kindles aren't always the first thing you think of when you think of a great tablet, they are fine for ebooks and little kids.
Another product which should be expected to show up on the list were gift cards. gift cards are great present for shopping for picky people or people you might not really know all to well. Now in normal cases gift cards are "technology" but amazon gift cards are. They can be emailed, delivered or even posted on your recipients Facebook wall.

Has Apple Finally have Done something Right!?
12.21.13
Although its not Tuesday, something very incredible has been recently released. Apple has introduced a new computer with tons and tons of processing power. More high level than any gaming pc out there, this new Mac Pro features 2 graphics cards, 6 core Intel Xeon E5 processor, 16 DDR3 memory, and a whole lot more. This computer has the power to connect up to three 4k resolution displays.
This is a more than perfect solution for video editing and pc gaming. My Ps4 can't even touch the power and display of this machine. Although there is high-level specs involved, of course comes high prices, but they are reasonable. An entry level model will run you $3,000. If you decide to max out, 10,000 USD. You can purchase one from here
Now obviously unless your trying to make a custom Disney animated cartoon out your basement, this is totally unnecessary to have, but its a nice option and it kinda shows that Apple hasn't been sitting on the butts the past couple of years just playing with Air. The new glossy-cylinder like design of the Mac Pro also might be giving us a clue where Apple designs might be going in the next couple of years.
